The Garden Family Medical Clinic is a brand new, state-of-the-art facility, ideally located near the Murdoch Health Hub. This was truly a project to remember for us at Medelec, and we were so excited to be a part of transforming this clinic into a welcoming and supportive space. Born from a desire to create a welcoming and friendly environment for the community to engage in critical health care, Dr. Andrew Leech and his team had a clear vision that they wanted to bring to life.
One of the main aims outlined by the Garden Medical team was to create a space that was colourful, fresh and bright. Another important factor was creating a space that didn’t feel clinical and where people could get support and health care in a non-threatening environment. From a central green space that opens up each consultation room to beautiful natural light, to a dedicated children’s play area with interactive games, this clinic really brings a homely and calm feel from the moment you walk through the door.
Medelec came on board to work alongside our friends at Perfect Practice to manage the lighting, sound, and equipment requirements for the project in its entirety. The process with all of our projects is completely consultative, so we worked very closely with Dr. Leech and his team every step of the way. We spent a lot of time understanding the space as well as conceptualising Dr. Leech’s vision. We were able to recommend the best options and finishes for each space based on our extensive industry experience.

We completed a full lighting and electrical fit-out for the space as well as managed the sound system installation. The children’s area was acoustically treated to keep sounds and noises contained from the rest of the practice, where a more serene and calm feel was required. Using LED lighting to accentuate the ample natural light, the overall result is a beautifully bright and colourful practice that is inviting and warm. From a practical perspective, the lighting in consultation rooms and reception was tailored to the individual needs of the physicians and front desk staff to ensure that they were productive and comfortable in their spaces. We also installed interactive games that make the children’s area completely unique to the Garden Family Medical Clinic.
We specialise in turnkey solutions and the Garden Medical Clinic was no different. Once our project received full final sign-off alongside our design partners at Perfect Practice, the clinic was ready for business.
